1. For Wireless Connections -  ( Only Airtel 3G )

    (For Wifi , use Wired Connection method )

1. Go to 'My Computer'

2. In 'My Computer' , go to 'Control Panel'

3. In 'Control Panel' , open 'Windows Firewall'

4. In 'Windows Firewall' , there are 2 options ,

   'On (Recommended)' and 'Off' (Not Recommended)' .

    Tick the second option 'Off (Not Recommended)'

5. Click 'Ok'

1. In Windows XP , go to Start Menu and open 'Run' , now type "cmd" in the box and click 'Ok' button to open the Command Prompt .

    In Windows 7 , press "Ctrl" and 'R' together (Ctrl + R) to open 'Run' , in it, type 'cmd' in the box and press "Enter" to open the Command Prompt.
 

2. Now in cmd type "ipconfig" and press "Enter" ,  then it displays your your IP address and Default Gateway etc. , note your 'Default Gateway' and 'IP Address' numbers somewhere .

 

3. Now open your Web Browser ( Internet Explorer ; Mozilla Firefox ; Google Chrome ; Opera ) and type your 'Default Gateway' numbers in the Address bar / URL Bar and press "Enter" .
 

4. After that , your Web browser will ask for Username and Password , type "admin" for both fields present there .
 

5. Every router have different settings , so find NAT and open it . Some router service have an 'Advanced' tag which have 'Port Frowarding' option in Side Menu.
 

6. In NAT or Port Forwarding, there you will find 'Virtual Server' or 'Server' or 'Add' etc , so click on 'Virtual Server' or 'Server' or 'Add' to go to the Port Unblocking Page.
 

7. There you will see 'Start port' number and 'End port' number .
 

8. So in 'Start port' number type "26001" and in 'End port' number type "26015" and select your protocol 'UDP' .
 

9. In 'Local IP address' or 'Server IP address' etc. , type your 'IP address' you noted, if asked .
 

10. Write your application name IGI 2 if it asks for it. Also set 'Schedule' to always.
 

11. Now click 'Submit' .

2. For Wired Connections -  DSL ; Cable ; Wifi   ( Good Ping )

                                                 T1 LAN ; Broadband ; ISDN ( Very low ping )

IGI-2 Port Forwarding / Port Unblocking

Secondly, we will fix the port connection . Please do it carefully otherwise your server will be not visible at the 'Join Server' list in IGI 2 game . The Networks block the ports to avoid unwanted traffic present at the Internet , but by this , the gaming ports are also blocked.

 

This problem causes invisiblity of your IGI 2 Server at the Join list , then no player will be able to access your server or they may see ' Server Not Responding' error while you joining server .
